In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an special katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
